Who does not feel it: the urgent need to finally be able to travel again and the longing to finally be able to flee into the distance and into the sun again. The Covid-19 pandemic demanded a lot from us all and now you just want to take a deep breath and feel a fresh sea breeze on your skin.
A vacation in the Mexican sun is just what you need. The Yucatán Peninsula offers everything a traveler’s heart desires. The beautiful dream beaches along the Riviera Maya and the Gulf of Mexico invite you to just lie in the hammock, enjoy a margarita or a smoothie and completely forget the stress and worries of the last few months. The more than 6,000 cenotes in Yucatán provide refreshment of a different kind. Cenotes are freshwater caves made of limestone, in which, depending on the size of the cave, you can dive, snorkel or bathe. They used to be considered sacred by the ancient Maya and as a gateway to the underworld. Above all, the cenotes provided clean drinking water in the Mayan sites and surrounding villages. One of the most important Maya sites is the world-famous Chichén Itzá, which is now one of the seven new wonders of the world, Uxmal and of course the photogenic Tulum, which towers majestically into the ocean and can be seen on many Instagram photos. But the Maya were not only brilliant in their architecture, but also in their gastronomy. The gastronomy of Yucatan is delicious and very diverse due to the large number of immigrants from different cultures over the past millennia.
But is it safe to travel to the Yucatán? Yes! Yucatán is one of the safest states in Mexico with a good infrastructure and many amenities, especially for foreign tourists. Yucatán lives from national and international tourism and, especially after the Corona crisis, is very keen to offer its guests a wonderful and unforgettable vacation in Mexico.
Of course, the international travel industry is no longer what it was before Covid-19. Most hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions quickly and sometimes proactively worked out solutions for the best possible protection of their guests and their staff. On our hacienda tour in Yucatan, without exception, all hotels and haciendas on offer adhere to the strict Covid-19 protocols. If you need a Covid-19 test before you leave for Germany, this will also be organized for you on site by your hotel.
If you feel like escaping the corona blues, we are at your disposal. Together we will plan your dream vacation for 2021 (or 2022), which will be 100% tailored to you and your wishes. Hasta pronto and see you soon!
